What is Ketamine?

Ketamine is a powerful drug that started off as an anaesthetic for surgeries and pain relief. Today, it’s still used in hospitals to manage severe pain and, sometimes, in mental health treatment for depression. But outside of medical settings, ketamine has become a popular recreational drug—often called “Special K” or just “K”—for its intense, out-of-body effects.
