At Barnsley Recovery Steps, we are dedicated to aiding you in your journey to a successful career. Our outstanding team is among the best in the UK for job outcomes, and we’re not just saying that! They truly are experts when it comes to helping people find meaningful employment.
Individual Placement and Support (IPS) is a highly effective way of getting our members into paid employment. We use your interests and strengths to find the perfect setting for you to ensure the best possible outcomes for your future. The IPS programme is specifically designed to find suitable work within the first few weeks of you joining. But the support does not stop there! IPS continues to assist both the employer and employee, ensuring that job placements last as long possible or help the individual change career paths into a different role if needed.
IPS takes a personalised, strength-based approach. Focusing on each person’s unique skills and building strong relationships with employers. Our team decides on what is best for you by understanding how working will affect your household income and getting you that job as soon as possible. This addresses the disconnection between mental health services and employment support by integrating employment specialists directly into community mental health teams.
With eight key principles guiding the process, IPS offers tailored support to help people find the right job and stay employed.
IPS is designed to bridge the gap between recovery and employment by connecting people with the right specialists to support them in finding and keeping jobs they enjoy. If you’re looking to achieve your career goals and need support, Barnsley Recovery Steps and our IPS team are here to help.
